I am a qualified and experienced counsellor with a background in psychology. Since completing my Masters from Reading University in 2000 and post graduate diploma in counselling and psychotherapy 2002, I have accumulated 13 years of clinical experience as a therapist and supervisor in a variety of settings.

My practice is grounded in the Person Centred Philosophy of Carl Rogers, which remains at the heart of my work with clients. I will however draw on my knowledge and experience of other therapeutic models, cognitive behavioural therapy, Adlerian therapy. Transactional Analysis and the work of Carl Jung in order to meet the needs of the individual. Mindfulness plays an important part of my personal and professional development.

I am an accredited member of BACP and UKRCP registered and qualified Hypnotherapist. I worked with Centre 33, the Young People’s Counselling Service in Cambridge and the NHS Complex Cases Service where I used Cognitive Analytic Therapy in the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder. I established the in-school counselling service at Chesterton Community College offering counselling to pupils and staff. Additionally, I have worked in private practice since 2002 and have a purpose built counselling room in Fulbourn.

I supervise both experienced and trainee counsellors from various theoretical orientations. I studied with Cambridge Supervision Training and hold the ASIIP Certificate in Integrative Supervision.
